Noah noticed a classmate was sitting on a carpet square that would prevent him from seeing the story being read and quickly asked the student if he wanted to move next to him. Noah also offered his spot to the student and moved himself further back. It was beautiful to witness how he looked out for the other student.
Maddy is very pious about her Catholic faith. She always volunteers for various roles in our Church. She sings in the choir and cantors at school Masses. This year she volunteered to sing at the All School Mass at Notre Dame. She is a master altar server, both for the school and Sunday Masses. She is a great lector. She also is a role model for her classmates and is welcoming and kind to all.
During a short time in the library after school, a pre-school student was building a house with magnetic tiles. The house fell to the table and the student became upset. Recognizing a need, Elise quietly took the student aside and offered to read a book, which calmed the student. It was a wonderful display of mercy and grace.
Nayeli noticed that a classmate was having a hard time concentrating on putting her toys away so Nayeli asked if she could help her and ended up missing a bit of recess in order to complete the task.
Charlotte demonstrated prayerfulness, fortitude, and kindness. During a challenging moment at school, Charlotte was observed quietly praying. She worked through a challenge with positivity and determination. She is always kind to those around her.
Calvin was entering the school early for band and had all his backpack, instrument, various items and yet still managed to hold the door open for a teacher. Then while heading into the second and third doors of the main office he continued to hold the door for multiple teachers and faculty. It was a kindness that made a teacher's day by his actions and smile.
Colin helps every classmate that needs assistance and will play with everybody. He shows his kindness by including students outside of his circle of friends. Colin also shows charity when he volunteers to altar serve for both school and parish Masses.
