During the championship basketball game, Dareon collided with the player from the opposing team, who fell to the floor. Even though play continued, and we had the ball, Dareon stopped to help the opposing player. He helped him up, checked that he was ok and showed great respect! The parents from the opposing team even applauded Dareon for his actions. After the game, Dareon made it a point to congratulate all his teammates for their contribution to the win.

Sebastian is a hard-working student who puts consistent effort into his work. He follows the classroom rules and routines. He is eager to help out around the classroom and will ask if he can help with anything. He is kind and respectful to everyone.

Emma greets the Pre-K students almost daily at the school entrance. She graciously volunteers her time to help others and the school. For Christmas, she not only gave to the Giving Tree donation, but gave extra money that she earned from serving funeral Masses. She spreads her sunshine to all!

Jenna is a wonderful student to have in class. She is always respectful to her teachers and classmates. She consistently picks up the floor and classroom without being asked, even if she did not contribute to the mess. Her kindness and care for our community is appreciated!

Sophie shows respect for teachers and peers. She is honest and trustworthy in dealings with others. Sophie is thoughtful in interactions with others. She faithfully performs classroom tasks. She stands with her friends and is concerned about the feelings of all of her classmates.

Jenson’s reading group was surprised with a candy cane at the end of a lesson. Jenson politely said, “No thank you” and commented that he did not like them. He then asked if he could have one for his older brother, who does like them. Jenson continued that he wanted to surprise his brother.

Dylan is a great role model for his classmates. He gives his best effort in all he does. If he isn’t happy with the results the first time, he tries again. He exhibits faith in how he treats others and by the reverence he displays in church. He displays many virtues and shows leadership by example.

Sarah displays several virtues.  She is kind and generous and has a joyful way about her.  I appreciate that she has a smile on her face every day when she walks into class and she approaches her academics with a strong work ethic.  Even when the classwork becomes difficult, or she doesn’t understand a concept, she asks questions and works towards the correct answers. She has been a great addition to our St. Anthony family!

Lauren is such a hard worker. She cares very much about her grades and her academics. She also shows, on a daily basis, that she cares for others. She always displays a smile at both the beginning of the day and at the end of the day. She makes it a point to greet people with a smile and a “Good Morning” or “Have a good night.” She is always kind and humble and a great example to her classmates.

Every day at recess, Sadie helps to push her classmates on the swings. She is respectful of their wishes, pushing them high or low. Sadie does all of this without being asked and asking for nothing in return. Her generosity is a wonderful example to her classmates and for other students.

Camilla leads by her example. God’s graces flow through her actions.  Her love for Jesus is truly inspiring. She has received many compliments for her singing in church because she sings with all of her heart.  Her love for reading shows every day when she cheers for Daily 5 time.  She shares her Saint Glory Stories with many classes here, which shows her generosity through and through.

Mattie is filled with virtue!! She is constantly looking for ways to take care of others.  She is the first to jump in and offer a helping hand, words of encouragement, or to express gratitude.  All of this is done with quietness and humility. She is a great gift to our school and an 8th grader who leads by example.

Luz is always volunteering to help the younger students.  She read a story to the Kindergarten class in Spanish last week.  Luz is a hard-working student too. She assists with chores all the time.  Luz is a member of the Maximilian Kolbe House.

Fefe works hard each day and looks forward to applying new things she has learned.  She chooses a positive attitude and is a leader by example. Fefe collaborates with her classmates lovingly and finds a friend in everyone.  She is a member of the St. Gemma House.

Aidan is always very kind and charitable to the younger students in school.  He goes out of his way to mile at them, talk to them, and show kindness towards them.  He also is a wonderful example to them of living his faith through participation in altar serving, reading at Mass, helping to lead the rosary, and Adoration Club. 

Kennedy inspires others every day by modeling the virtue of consideration.   Kennedy is a great listener and always gives others the chance to talk and be heard.  Kennedy is always ready to turn attention away from herself so others can show their qualities. Kennedy is a member of the Teresa of Calcutta House.

Maya has repeatedly offered to help with a fellow student. Maya exhibits the virtues of compassion and helpfulness. Maya is a member of the St. Therese Lisieux, Little Flower House.

A Pre-K student approached Michael during early morning care and asked Michael if he could read to him. Michael lovingly and willingly read the book to the younger student and exhibited the virtues of charity and kindness. Michael is a member of the Solanus Casey House.
