Our 6th grade students will be leading Morning Prayer in the Church on Tuesdays at 8:15 AM. Morning Prayer, or Lauds, is part of the Church's Liturgy of the Hours. Known as “the prayer of the Whole Church”, the Liturgy of the Hours is a cycle of daily readings and prayers said by Catholics around the world. We invite all to join our students and the worldwide church in this prayer on Tuesday mornings!
It’s no secret that our well-being is significantly affected by our digital devices and the media on our screens. This is especially true for children, who, in their most tender ages, are being formed by today’s technology. From effects on their mental health, attention, and reading skills to addiction, increased anxiety, noise saturation, and an unstable capacity to relate to others and the world around them, we owe it to our kids to understand how digital media and devices are affecting them and how we might set them up for a healthy relationship with tech. Join us for the new Parent Book Series at St. Anthony, where we’ll read and discuss The Anxious Generation by Jonathan Haidt through the lens of our faith. Friday mornings at 9:15 AM, March 7-April 4. All are welcome! Parents who attend will receive an out of uniform pass for their child(ren).
