What you need to know about your child's Confirmation 

Grade School youth preparing for Confirmation will receive the sacrament at 10:30am on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at St. Anthony de Padua Catholic Church. They will be confirmed by the Most Reverend Kevin C. Rhoades, Bishop of Fort Wayne-South Bend.

All of formal catechetical preparation of our students is combined with a retreat experience offsite. It utilizes large group talks, small group discussions, fun & powerful music, drama, skits, hilarity, service, adoration and personal faith sharing. It is a fun, high energy, 100% Catholic, powerful, life-changing experience for the youth!

Requirements

In preparation for Confirmation, candidates must do the following:

• Candidates & Parents review, complete, and turn in a Confirmation Packet
• Candidates will take part in 2 out of 3 Youth Session Preparation Meetings (dates TBA).
• Candidates attend the one-day Confirmation Retreat, on Saturday October 16, 2021 at St. Anthony. 

Dress Code for Confirmation Mass

• White, black, or red collared dress shirt
• Black dress slacks (no cargo pants)
• Belt, tie, socks, closed-toed dress shoes (no tennis shoes, sandals or flip-flops)
• Ties, socks, and belts should be red, black, or white
• Any patterns should be subtle and not distracting

• White, red, or black dress shirt
• Black dress slacks (no capri, cargo or tight pants) or plain black skirt no shorter than the knee
• Low-healed dress shoes or dress sandals with heel straps (no flip-flops or tennis shoes)
• Dresses - a black or red dress to the knee, patterns and embellishments should be minimal, shoulders must be covered with a red, white, or black shrug or sweater
• Necklines should be modest, no low cut or plunging necklines
• A white dress should not be worn
